Tacos & Tutus: My Friends Threw the BEST Baby Shower

Image
I had my baby shower today! It was so. much. fun! For real. I have the best friends in the whole world. ☕Buy Me a Coffee [help support the channel & blog] https://www.buymeacoffee.com/OMGitsWhitney Stephanie, Myself, & Kendra. Stephanie and I have been friends since we were babies -- our moms were friends and pregnant at the same time. We are 8 days apart...9 when it's a leap year. We met Kendra in Kindergarten when we were in Daisies together. We all went to school together and stayed close after graduating.  We all got together back in March to plan the Baby Shower. I knew that I didn't want pink -- even though we knew it was a girl, pink is pretty but predictable -- I thought purples would be more my style, plus it's one of my favorite colors. Stephanie had a list of potential themes. I honestly had no idea what themes to even consider. We ended up going with "Tacos and Tutus" -- I mean, this is Texas. Tex-Mex is a staple in this state.    ...

The Dangers of Family Vlogging

Image
Ok everybody, don't panic. I don't dislike family vloggers, but let's face it, there are some things that are just weird about them. There is a mentality that all YouTubers "suffer" from some form of narcissism, or are just extremely self-involved. This may be true for some of them -- like ones who vlog literally every day or even multiple times a day -- but not all of them. I remember YouTube back in it's "hey-day". The beauty community -- YouTubers like Kandee Johnson, and Michelle Phan -- wasn't having controversies every other week, clickbait wasn't a tactic as much as it is now -- it was there but creators didn't straight up LIE to the audience about what they're video was going to be about just to get a click -- , the OG YouTubers weren't nearly as problematic as they are now, and were everywhere in trending and recommendation lists... for the right reasons. Family vlogging wasn't really a "thing" then like...

Chicken Taco Chili Recipe

Image
I found this recipe on tablefortwoblog.com and thought I'd just share the love...cause this recipe is delicious! This recipe is super easy and will feed up to 10 people! It's a low-calorie dinner as well... 200 calories per serving (of 10oz) which is surprisingly filling for such a low-calorie meal.  Below are the items you will need: 1 chopped onion (I used white) 1 can of black beans 1 can of kidney beans 16 oz of tomato sauce 1 can of corn 16 oz of diced tomatoes with green chilies 1 packet of taco seasoning 1 tbsp of ground cumin 1 tbsp of chili powder 3-4 chicken breasts (I guesstimated about 2 pounds of chicken) In a mixing bowl, put all the ingredients together (except the chicken) til it's all nice and mixed up.  I did my prep work the night before and then it was just as simple as throwing it into the crockpot at 6:30 in the morning and walking away for 10 hours -- or on high for 4 hours.  A...

My Review of the Lancôme Visionnaire Skin Solutions Line

Image
I received my first VoxBox from Influenster about 5 months ago. As part of being a reviewer for Influenster, they ask that you leave a review on their website and/or make a blog post or video review. I decided to finally do the third part (the blog entry) of this process. If you wish to watch my video review instead of proceeding with the blog entry, then click the video below.  The Lancôme Products That I Received (with links): Visionnaire Skin Solutions 15% Pure Vitamin C Correcting Concentrate - Retail Price: $65 I really wanted to like this stuff. I've never had any real problems with my skin, other than it having a combination of dry and oily. I applied this to my bare skin -- it smells terrible. I believe in my video I say it smells like if oranges and lemons made a hybrid fruit, and that fruit went bad... seriously, it's gross. I believe since it's a "Vitamin C" Serum, they're going for a citrus-like smell, but it was a swing-and-a-mi...
