My Review of the Lancôme Visionnaire Skin Solutions Line
I received my first VoxBox from Influenster about 5 months ago. As part of being a reviewer for Influenster, they ask that you leave a review on their website and/or make a blog post or video review.
I decided to finally do the third part (the blog entry) of this process. If you wish to watch my video review instead of proceeding with the blog entry, then click the video below.

The Lancôme Products That I Received (with links):
Visionnaire Skin Solutions 15% Pure Vitamin C Correcting Concentrate - Retail Price: $65
I really wanted to like this stuff. I've never had any real problems with my skin, other than it having a combination of dry and oily. I applied this to my bare skin -- it smells terrible. I believe in my video I say it smells like if oranges and lemons made a hybrid fruit, and that fruit went bad... seriously, it's gross. I believe since it's a "Vitamin C" Serum, they're going for a citrus-like smell, but it was a swing-and-a-miss... I let it soak in before applying any moisturizer or primer to my face. I was told by a few people that my skin looked like it had more of a glow to it when I was wearing it, but using it long term I'm not certain how much it's affected my skin. I like how it makes my skin look while wearing it, but I only will put it on my face if I can get past the smell.
Long Time No Shine Loose Setting Powder - Retail Price: $37
As someone who doesn't wear a whole lot of makeup -- especially on my face -- I found this powder to be extremely light on my skin. It didn't sink into my skin, showing any fine lines or anything like some powders. All I did was use a primer on my face (ELF brand) and then used this powder. It lasted all day and made my skin look flawless. It also had a nice clean smell to it, which I like.
Fix It Forget It Setting Spray - Retail Price: $17-$34
As well as the Vitamin C Correcting Concentrate, I really wanted to love this spray. However, I think the spray bottle that I received was defective. When it did spray, a fine mist with massive drops came out, almost ruining my finished makeup. I tried to take the bottle apart to use a different sprayer but I couldn't get it to pop off. I'm sure the product is great, but the one I received was a dud.
Final Thoughts:
The packaging was very nice. It was simple.
Despite the smell of the Vitamin C Serum, I did like how my skin looked and felt, but it just smelled so bad. If Lancôme wants to go for a citrus smell, just choose one scent... not a general "citrus" with a bunch of smells. It was a no-go for me.
The setting spray is probably fine, but since mine was defective, I did keep the bottle in the event that I am able to twist the useless sprayer off and replace it with another sprayer.
My favorite was the setting powder. I usually don't wear liquid foundation -- except in the winter when it acts as an extra layer of moisturizer for my particular skin. I normally just wear a moisturizer or primer and some powder. I really liked this powder. It was light and provided a little coverage for the redness I get in my face from time to time.
Would I buy this stuff myself?
Yes and No.
I wouldn't buy the Serum -- cause it smells.
I wouldn't buy the setting spray -- cause I don't need it.
I -would- (however) buy the setting powder. I usually just use the Revlon compressed powder, but I could see myself switching permanently to the Lancôme setting powder.
