My Video Was Taken Down

Image
If you read my Community Tab on my YouTube channel , I made a post talking about a video that was taken down. I wasn't planning on bringing it up since it wasn't one of my most viewed videos -- hell, it had less than 300 views...I think like 248? However, I saw PewDiePie's video about Totally Not Mark 's channel getting slapped in the face by Toei Entertainment -- resulting in 150 of his videos getting taken down -- I thought I'd share my experience. ✨Before I get started✨  I still plan on making my " How I Make Money as a Reaction Channel " video, and this story will be in there, but I wanted to get this out now rather than bring it up in a video later. The video was me reacting to and talking about Christina Aguilera's " What a Girl Wants " live from 2000 in South Korea. What happened was I uploaded it to schedule it to go out as a "thank you" for hitting 10k subscribers (a number I still can't wrap my head around) and immed...

The Dangers of Family Vlogging

Image
Ok everybody, don't panic. I don't dislike family vloggers, but let's face it, there are some things that are just weird about them. There is a mentality that all YouTubers "suffer" from some form of narcissism, or are just extremely self-involved. This may be true for some of them -- like ones who vlog literally every day or even multiple times a day -- but not all of them. I remember YouTube back in it's "hey-day". The beauty community -- YouTubers like Kandee Johnson, and Michelle Phan -- wasn't having controversies every other week, clickbait wasn't a tactic as much as it is now -- it was there but creators didn't straight up LIE to the audience about what they're video was going to be about just to get a click -- , the OG YouTubers weren't nearly as problematic as they are now, and were everywhere in trending and recommendation lists... for the right reasons. Family vlogging wasn't really a "thing" then like...

My Review of the Lancôme Visionnaire Skin Solutions Line

Image
I received my first VoxBox from Influenster about 5 months ago. As part of being a reviewer for Influenster, they ask that you leave a review on their website and/or make a blog post or video review. I decided to finally do the third part (the blog entry) of this process. If you wish to watch my video review instead of proceeding with the blog entry, then click the video below.  The Lancôme Products That I Received (with links): Visionnaire Skin Solutions 15% Pure Vitamin C Correcting Concentrate - Retail Price: $65 I really wanted to like this stuff. I've never had any real problems with my skin, other than it having a combination of dry and oily. I applied this to my bare skin -- it smells terrible. I believe in my video I say it smells like if oranges and lemons made a hybrid fruit, and that fruit went bad... seriously, it's gross. I believe since it's a "Vitamin C" Serum, they're going for a citrus-like smell, but it was a swing-and-a-mi...

Heterochromia Make Up Part One

Image
Hi! My name is Whitney, incase you're new. I have recently started a new job, and unlike the hospital, I can wear make up.  It's not that the hospital pharmacy banned make up, but as an IV certified pharmacy technician you never know when you might have to go into the IV room, and since that is a sterile area, make up, nail polish, and jewelry is all a no-no. So why risk wearing make up if you might have to take it off?  So I haven't really worn make up regularly for like... 3 years (actually most of my life, but I wish I could have been wearing make up these last couple of years and I couldn't). I also, in case you haven't noticed in my Instagram photos or Y ouTube Channel  I have two different colored eyes. One brown and one green. I will get into why my eyes are like this in a future video, so be on the look out for that. Doing eye shadow has been tricky for me since certain colored eye shadows are good for certain colored eye colors. But lately, ...

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Review

Image
So, I couldn't make it the whole two weeks to do this review. I made it a good ten days (yay me!)  I already made a video showing how I used the products, which is below. Again, this blog AND the video are not sponsored in any way. This was done on my own free will. Products In Review (Click the image for my video review): ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer   Retail Price: $65 *ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment Retail Price: $75-$175 ExfoliKate Daily Cleanser Retail Price: $38-$60 This is a pinned comment on my video: I would like to add this: By the way, I'm not a doctor, I am a Pharmacy Technician though and these statements are just my opinion. I am in no way trying to throw medical advice on the internet. I watched a few reviews of this product (after I posted this) and I noticed two things: *One, some people using this use a ton of the Intense Exfoliant on their face...this (in my opinion) is not necessary... a little will go a lon...

Kate Somerville: ExfoliKate Line

Image
This is going to be my first product review via all my social media; here on my Blog/Facebook/ YouTube and even a little blurb on my Instagram. For years I have bounced between ProActiv (and the recently "new and improved" ProActiv+), Neutrogena, Clean & Clear and even just plain old soap for my acne. My ance isn't as bad as some people...I will say that. But occasionally (usually when I'm PMSing... sorry boys who read this but at true!) I get these mountains on my face and it's not cute. My face is naturally really really oily. I also wear a face mask quite often when I am at work and I am making IVs. With the face mask my skin around my mouth, over my nose and surrounding areas, don't get this much room to breathe...thus clogging up my pores and making my skin look even worse and causes more breakouts.  I wanted to try this line to see if it can really help my skin. Now before I go on: this blog/any near future blogs or in the near futu...

Hello, America --- Colorado and Oregon

Image
I started a series on my channel inspired by Marzia's "Hello, World" series. I always enjoyed watching her videos from this series, cause frankly, I don't see myself traveling all over the world. So I'm vicariously living through her and Felix when they go on their fancy trips. Eventually I may get to have something of that caliber, but until we win the lottery (or become independently wealthy by inventing something that takes over the world), I figured that America is a big enough place to keep us busy, so "Hello, America" was born. We went to Colorado and Oregon last week and with Aaron's help, we took a ton of video so we could make memories like this for us to remember the trip. We fell in love with Colorado and I think it's a potential contender for Project: Relocation (aka: a place we consider moving to). We were there for about three days (give or take) so I have more footage in this video. Oregon was lovely as well. ...
